But before you sideload Android apps on Windows 11, you will need to install ADB on your machine. So, the performance is great and similar to other apps downloaded from the Play Store. Keep in mind, the Android app is using its ART (Android Run Time) framework and not running in a Linux container. Now, open the app drawer and you will find the Android app that you just installed. adb -s emulator-5554 install firefox.apk. The file is placed in the /sdcard/Download. To add a file to the emulated device, drag the file onto the emulator screen. When the installation completes, you can view the app in your apps list. To install an APK file on the emulated device, drag an APK file onto the emulator screen. Go to Settings > Security and enable Apps from Unknown Sources. The process is still wireless, but it's more difficult. If you don't have an Android phone on hand, you can still sideload apps to your Fire Stick using the ADB sideload command through the Android software development kit.
